Hornby Island Library Branch
The Hornby Island branch of Vancouver Island Regional Library sits in a picturesque forested setting at the New Horizons Centre, serving this small Gulf Island community since before its 2016 renovation. As a free public facility on an island popular with cyclists, it offers public computers and free WiFi — practical resources for a touring cyclist needing to check routes, communicate, or simply rest indoors. The branch is operated by Vancouver Island Regional Library, one of the largest public library systems in BC.
This place is in the traditional territory of the Homalco, Hul’qumi’num Treaty Group, K’ómoks, Liǧʷiłdax̌ʷ, ɬaʔamɩn gɩǰɛ (Tla’amin), We Wai Kai, and Wei Wai Kum.
