The Museum at Campbell River is an award-winning regional history museum set on a seven-acre wooded site overlooking Discovery Passage, preserving the human history of Northern Vancouver Island from Oyster River to Rivers Inlet and beyond. Its 21,000 square foot facility opened in 1994 and holds ethnographic, archaeological, and archival collections alongside permanent, temporary, and outdoor exhibits. Cyclists riding the Island Highway will find a full program of guided hikes, boat tours, weaving workshops, and interpretive theatre rooted in First Nations and colonial-era history.
