Wild Culture Bakery is a long-established artisan sourdough operation in Qualicum Beach, founded in 1995 by a traditionally trained master baker from Brittany, France and now operating out of a 6-acre farm on the edge of town. All breads are 100% certified organic and leavened with a natural wild bacterial culture — no commercial yeast — using heirloom grains like Red Fife, Spelt, Kamut, and Emmer, with much of the flour stone-milled fresh on-site. The retail shop carries breads, pizzas, and treats, and the bakery has a broad wholesale presence throughout Qualicum Beach and Parksville.
