West Coast Trail Information & Orientation Centre

The West Coast Trail Information & Orientation Centre is the Parks Canada gateway facility for registering and orienting hikers tackling the legendary 75-km West Coast Trail, one of Canada's most demanding multi-day backcountry routes along the remote west shore of Vancouver Island. The centre sits within Pacific Rim National Park Reserve in the traditional territories of the Huu-ay-aht, Ditidaht, and Pacheedaht First Nations, whose Guardians help maintain the trail. Touring cyclists riding the Vancouver Island coast pass through this isolated region and may find the facility a useful reference point, though it is primarily oriented toward backcountry hikers.
