McMurdo Cabin
McMurdo Cabin is a rustic backcountry wilderness hut in the Northern Purcell Mountains, one of five remote huts maintained by the Columbia Valley Hut Society, a non-profit founded in 1983. The area around the cabin offers wildlife viewing, high country travel in summer, and ski touring in winter. Access requires backcountry travel with variable hiking distances depending on route-finding and seasonal road conditions.
