Buy BC (independent) · Bus / Public TransitBC Bus North runs Prince George to Prince Rupert along Highway 16 West twice a week (Mon & Thu westbound, Tue & Fri eastbound), stopping in Vanderhoof, Burns Lake, Houston, Smithers, New Hazelton, Terrace and several smaller communities in between. As of April 2026 the service is operated by Tahltan NST Busing Ltd. Bikes travel as checked luggage only if bagged or boxed — unpacked bikes aren't permitted — and count toward your two free checked bags (61 x 114 x 61 cm, 23 kg max each), though a full-size bike box may exceed that length. No bicycle-specific fee, e-bike policy, or tandem/trailer policy is published; call ahead (778-763-4155) to confirm before travelling with a bike. Book online at least 24 hours ahead or by phone during business hours — seats can sell out.
