Cheesecake Etc. is a Vancouver institution on Granville Street, founded in 1979 by jazz musicians Mike and Edith Sims who channelled their love of Parisian and American jazz cafés into a West Coast dessert destination. All cheesecakes — offered in original, chocolate, and matcha varieties — are baked on-site from a secret family recipe, with no crust, making them naturally gluten-free. Live jazz events are hosted periodically, giving cyclists an atmospheric evening stop in the heart of the city.
