Motonobu Udon
Motonobu Udon is Vancouver's first authentic Japanese udon restaurant, opened in August 2020 during the pandemic and earning Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand recognition consecutively in 2023, 2024, and 2025. Chef Shin Iwamoto follows his grandmother's Sanuki-style family recipe, using locally sourced Canadian flour to produce handmade noodles freshly cut and boiled to order. Located on East Hastings Street near PNE Playland, it operates as a walk-in-only spot with takeout and Uber Eats delivery available.
