Dawson Creek Art Gallery
The Dawson Creek Art Gallery is housed in a beautifully renovated annex of a historic prairie grain elevator in NAR Park, making it architecturally distinctive and the first public art gallery established in northern BC. Managed by the South Peace Art Society since 1983, the gallery presents local, regional, and touring visual arts exhibitions year-round, and was recognized as the northern winner of the Architecture Foundation of BC's best building contest in 2014. The on-site Grainery Artisan and Gift Shop offers handcrafted items from local artisans, and the gallery also provides custom framing services.
This place is in the traditional territory of the Beaver, Dënéndeh, Kelly Lake Metis Settlement Society, Michif Piyii (Métis), and ᓀᐦᐃᔭᐤ ᐊᐢᑭᕀ Nêhiyaw-Askiy (Plains Cree).
