Whale Room / Outdoor Centre
The Whale Room is the main dining room of Strathcona Park Lodge, a 160-acre wilderness resort and outdoor education centre situated on the shores of Upper Campbell Lake, roughly 5 km outside Strathcona Provincial Park. In operation since 1959, the lodge is one of the most remote full-service destinations on Vancouver Island's interior, reachable only by a long road through the mountains west of Campbell River. Cyclists arriving here will find themselves genuinely off the grid, well beyond cell service, in a setting described by guests as one of the most beautiful spots in the world.
