Saanich Commonwealth Place
Saanich Commonwealth Place is a large municipal aquatic and fitness centre operated by the District of Saanich, anchored by a 50-metre competition pool alongside a wave pool, tots pool, dive tank, and water slide — one of the most comprehensive aquatic complexes on Vancouver Island. The facility also offers a steam room, sauna, hot tub, weight room, gymnasium, and functional fitness studio, giving touring cyclists a rare opportunity to recover thoroughly after a long day on the road. It sits near Elk Lake, a popular cycling destination in its own right, making it a natural stop on routes through the Saanich Peninsula.
