Bear Lodge Bistro
The Bear Bistro is a casual, open-air dining destination perched at Island Lake Lodge, roughly 8 km up a rugged mountain road above Fernie, BC, with a massive patio overlooking dramatic Rocky Mountain scenery. It is a natural endpoint for cyclists riding the Lazy Lizard mountain bike trail, which climbs directly to the lodge — the website actively encourages cyclists to use this trail rather than the vehicle access road. The bistro operates seasonally as part of the Island Lake resort complex, famous for catskiing in winter and trail access in summer.
This place is in the traditional territory of the Ĩyãħé Nakón mąkóce (Stoney), Ktunaxa ɁamakɁis, and Cayuse, Umatilla and Walla Walla.
