Free on-demand reaction ferry (current-propelled) operated by Emil Anderson Maintenance under contract to the BC Ministry of Transportation and Transit, crossing the Skeena River about 16 km northeast of Terrace, just off Highway 16, between South and North Usk. Crossing takes 5–7 minutes; runs on demand across four daily windows (roughly 6:45 am–11:15 pm with breaks), no reservation needed. BC's Ministry of Transportation and Transit treats all inland ferries as an extension of the provincial highway system, mandated to accommodate all legal road users, including cyclists — bikes and e-bikes both ride free and unboxed. When water is low or icy, the ferry is replaced by an aerial tramway for passengers only — whether a bike can ride the tramway is unconfirmed, so check ahead if travelling outside the open-water season.
