Gambier Community Centre

The Gambier Community Centre is a registered charity and the only public facility on Gambier Island, the largest island in Howe Sound, BC, home to roughly 100 permanent residents year-round. The island has no car-ferry access — only a passenger ferry runs between Langdale and New Brighton — giving it a distinctly remote, low-traffic character that touring cyclists who make the crossing would find unusual. As the island's sole community hub, the centre organizes events and is the only place on the island where credit and debit cards are accepted.
