The MAQ Pub occupies the lower level of the historic Maquinna Hotel in Tofino and has been a local gathering spot since the 1950s, originally frequented by fishermen and loggers and nicknamed 'The Dirty MAQ'. Today it draws surfers, tourists, and hospitality workers with a rotating lineup of live music, karaoke nights, DJs, and dancing. It is part of the MAQ Hotel complex, which also includes The MAQ Cafe and The Bear Bierhaus.
