Free on-demand ferry operated by Western Pacific Marine under contract to the BC Ministry of Transportation and Transit, crossing Parsons Channel on the Fraser River between Barnston Island and Port Kells in northeast Surrey. Crossing takes about 5 minutes; runs on demand roughly 6:15 am–midnight (later on weekends), with service interruptions when river traffic warrants, no reservation needed. BC's Ministry of Transportation and Transit treats all inland ferries as an extension of the provincial highway system, mandated to accommodate all legal road users, including cyclists — bikes and e-bikes both ride free and unboxed.
