Trails BC (the Trails Society of BC) is a non-profit charity that advocates for greenway trails for self-propelled recreation and active transportation across the province.
Trails BC's routes here range from short 12 km community loops to a 220 km multi-day Kootenay loop, and include several short Trans Canada Trail feeder segments in the Fraser Valley (Chilliwack Lake to Thurston, Cultus Lake to Tamihi, Langley to Clayburn) alongside day loops around Salmo, Kaslo/Slocan, Kimberley, Nanaimo, Squamish, Summerland, and Chilliwack. Coverage spans Kootenay Rockies, Vancouver Coast and Mountains, Vancouver Island, and Thompson Okanagan, with terrain running from flat valley-bottom trail to sustained climbing (over 1,300 m and 2,300 m of ascent on the two longest Kootenay routes).
