The Great Community Route Celebration

The Great Community Route Celebration was a global cycling route-creation event hosted by Ride with GPS, running June 11 to July 5, 2020. Participants worldwide created and submitted routes highlighting places and spaces in their own communities, adding points of interest and photos along the way. The event drew 523 route submissions from 51 countries.

Their BC collection

Two BC routes were submitted to the Celebration. One is a 346-kilometre multi-day gravel-and-paved loop through the Cariboo-Chilcotin Coast, starting and ending in Quesnel, largely rustic with limited services. The other is a 112-kilometre paved climbing loop on Vancouver's North Shore in the Vancouver, Coast and Mountains region. Together the two range from remote multi-day backcountry touring to a demanding single-day road climb.
