Every campground in our directory, coloured by when it closes for the season. The darker the green, the later it stays open. The darkest dots say they're open all year. Grey dots are campgrounds with no season we could find, and most of those are Recreation Sites, which usually have no posted season and are open whenever the road is clear of snow.
Pick a night under "Open on" to see only the campgrounds open that night. Click any dot for its dates, how sure we are, and where we found them.
How sure we are#
We found a season for 858 of the 1,395 campgrounds: 417 with high confidence, 299 medium, and 142 low. Hollow dots are the low-confidence ones. They are on the map because the season may well be right, but treat them as a lead and check before you go. Patterns across a region hold up well. A single campground's date can be wrong.
We collected these dates between September 30 and October 2, 2026. Campgrounds change their dates every year, and some had only last year's posted when we looked. The operator's own page is the answer that counts.
