Dark Table

Welcoming · Restaurant · Vancouver (Vancouver, Coast and Mountains) · Upscale

Dark Table is Vancouver's pitch-black dining restaurant in Kitsilano, where guests are guided through a completely dark dining room by blind or visually impaired servers trained to ensure comfort throughout the meal. The concept originated in Switzerland and has appeared in London, Paris, New York, and Montreal before coming to Vancouver, designed to heighten taste, smell, and touch by eliminating sight entirely. The restaurant is also a social-enterprise of sorts, deliberately employing blind and visually impaired staff in a role where their skills are unmatched.
