The Downtown Eastside Seniors Centre is a drop-in community hub operated by the Vancouver Second Mile Society, a non-profit charity established in 1958 to serve low-income seniors in one of Vancouver's most challenging urban neighbourhoods. The centre provides daily recreational activities, affordable meals prepared by volunteers, computers with internet access, and social programs reaching nearly 2,000 participants annually. It is one of two seniors centres run by VSMS and serves as a community anchor on East Hastings Street.
