Wild Coast Nature Refuge

Info · Park / Nature · Vancouver (Vancouver, Coast and Mountains) · Free

The Wild Coast Nature Refuge is a 32-acre waterfront conservation area on Bowen Island at Cape Roger Curtis, acquired by the Bowen Island Conservancy in December 2020. It protects a rare coast bluff ecosystem where whales can be spotted just offshore from lichen-covered cliffs, and a Conservation Covenant ensures permanent protection of its biological diversity. Public access is limited to a loop walking trail connecting viewpoints on the coastal bluffs.
