The Kaatza Station Museum and Archives occupies the original 1913 Canadian Pacific train station in Lake Cowichan, operated by the Kaatza Historical Society since 1975. The museum focuses on the Cowichan Lake region's history with particular depth on the forestry industry, the IWA union, and ethnic minority communities. Outdoor grounds feature rolling stock including a Shay steam locomotive, a Plymouth Switcher, a CN passenger car, and restored historic structures such as the Bell Tower School.
