The Samson V Museum
The Samson V is the last surviving wooden steam-powered sternwheeler, launched in 1937 and built for the federal Department of Public Works as a snag-boat on the Fraser River. Now preserved as a museum and operated by the City of New Westminster, it sits moored along the Quayside waterfront — a striking piece of BC river history that touring cyclists riding the Fraser River corridor can visit. Admission is by donation.
