Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site

Info · Museum / Gallery · Richmond (Vancouver, Coast and Mountains) · Free

Britannia Shipyards is an eight-acre outdoor national historic site on the banks of the Fraser River in Steveston, preserving the oldest shipyard community in British Columbia. Heritage buildings from the 1880s are arranged along wooden boardwalks and tell the stories of the Chinese, European, Indigenous, and Japanese workers who lived in this once-thriving fishing, canning, and boatbuilding community. Admission is free and the site is easily reachable by bike from Steveston Village centre.
