Bird Museum
The George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary is a 300-hectare managed wetland complex on Westham Island in Delta, BC, managed by the BC Waterfowl Society since 1963 as one of Canada's 92 federal Migratory Bird Sanctuaries. Nearly 300 bird species have been recorded here, and the sanctuary draws over 100,000 visitors a year, making it one of Canada's top birdwatching destinations. Touring cyclists will find a flat, scenic destination on the dykes and trails of the Fraser River Estuary, roughly an hour's ride from Vancouver.
