Goldstream Welcome Centre

Info · Visitor Centre · Victoria (Vancouver Island)

Goldstream Park is a provincial park just 16km from downtown Victoria, featuring 600-year-old Douglas fir trees, the 47.5-metre Niagara Falls waterfall, and a celebrated annual chum salmon spawning run that draws bald eagles and thousands of visitors. The visitor centre (tagged in OSM as Goldstream Welcome Centre, identified on the BC Parks website as the Freeman King Visitor Centre) offers naturalist-led interpretive programs about the park's natural history. Cyclists will find a dramatic old-growth setting with trails ranging from easy riverside walks to the strenuous summit of Mount Finlayson, one of the highest points in Greater Victoria.
