Canadian Indigenous Art Inc. is a gallery dedicated to promoting the artwork of Coast Salish and Squamish Nation artists, offering one of the largest collections of West Coast Indigenous and Aboriginal art in Canada. Founded in 1999 by collector Maike Marnet, who spent over thirty years building relationships with local Indigenous artists, the gallery carries original paintings, wood carvings, masks, totem poles, sculptures, and jewellery. The Nanaimo gallery recently relocated to 78 Wharf St., a waterfront address that makes it a natural stop for cyclists exploring downtown Nanaimo.
