Hub City Cycles

Welcoming · Repair Shop · Nanaimo (Vancouver Island)

Hub City Cycles is a non-profit community co-operative bicycle shop established in 2012 and tucked into Nanaimo's China Steps neighbourhood, built around a mission of affordable cycling access, bike recycling, and advocacy for cycling as everyday transport. The shop was among the earliest in the region to embrace e-bikes and recently acquired dedicated electric bike repair stands to keep pace with growing demand. Its co-op structure means visiting cyclists encounter experienced mechanics, a genuine community ethos, and an unusually broad range of services under one small but efficiently packed roof.
