Remote Passages
Remote Passages Marine Excursions has run eco-tours out of Tofino's Wharf Street since 1986, pioneering zodiac-based whale watching on BC's west coast and expanding to sea kayaking, black bear watching, Meares Island old-growth rainforest tours, and the boat-and-hike journey to Hot Springs Cove. Operating in the Clayoquot Sound UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the company offers one of the longest wildlife viewing seasons on BC's west coast, from February to November. Touring cyclists who have ridden to Tofino can extend their adventure onto the water, encountering gray whales, humpbacks, orcas, sea otters, and coastal bears in their natural habitat.
