The Western Front

Welcoming · Museum / Gallery · Vancouver (Vancouver, Coast and Mountains) · Free

Western Front is a non-profit artist-run centre founded in 1973 in Vancouver's Mount Pleasant neighbourhood, housed in a distinctive three-story heritage building with green wooden siding and a pioneer-like false-front façade. It supports multidisciplinary programming spanning music, media art, visual art, performance, and literature, and maintains a growing audiovisual archive documenting decades of artistic production. Touring cyclists can lock bikes at racks directly in front of the building, with a Mobi bike-share station on the adjacent corner.
