McMurdo Cabin Recreation Site
A six-person log cabin managed by the Columbia Valley Hut Society, accessed via a long forest-service drive with industrial traffic, a creek ford requiring a truck or SUV, and a 1.5 km walk-in; radio communication is recommended. Used on foot in summer and by snowmobile in winter, making it a true backcountry destination rather than a cycle-in stop.
