Golden BC Museum
The Golden BC Museum is a community history museum operated by the Golden & District Historical Society, a volunteer non-profit established in 1968 and opened to the public in 1974. It preserves artifacts, archives, and stories from the Columbia River region — covering Indigenous Peoples of the Ktunaxa and Kinbasket Nations, CPR-era settlement, and generations of local pioneers — and draws roughly 3,500 on-site visitors per year. A companion BC Medical Museum is also housed under the same society, giving touring cyclists two distinct collections in one stop in the heart of Golden.
