Walhachin Soldiers Memorial Hall
A historic community hall built by pioneers in 1911 in the tiny settlement of Walhachin along the South Thompson River west of Kamloops. It houses a museum established in 2011 focused on Walhachin's fascinating history as a failed English orchard colony from the early 1900s, where 97 of 107 able-bodied men enlisted in WWI and few returned. The hall also features a cenotaph constructed in 2018 and hosts the annual Walhaschindig music festival.
