VIRL: Port Alice Branch
The Port Alice Branch of Vancouver Island Regional Library has served this remote North Vancouver Island community since 1972, on the unceded traditional territory of the Quatsino nation. As one of the few public indoor spaces in Port Alice, it offers free WiFi, public computers, printing, and photocopying in a wheelchair-accessible building. For touring cyclists riding the isolated north island routes, it provides a rare opportunity to rest indoors and get connected.
