Co-op Food Market in Sayward is a member-owned cooperative grocery store and one of the very few full-service food retail options in this small, remote northern Vancouver Island community. For cyclists riding the logging roads and highways of the northern Island, it represents a critical resupply point before long stretches with little services. As part of the broader Co-op network, profits are returned to members and reinvested in the local community.
