Coquihalla Canyon

Info · Activity / Experience · Othello (Vancouver, Coast and Mountains) · Free

Coquihalla Canyon Provincial Park preserves a dramatic stretch of the Kettle Valley Railway, including five tunnels blasted through 300-foot-deep granite gorge walls in 1914, now known as the Othello Tunnels. The easy 3.5 km round-trip trail through the tunnels is part of the Trans Canada Trail and offers a flat gravel surface accessible to cyclists and walkers alike. Located just north of Hope, it is one of the most visited heritage railway attractions in southern BC and a natural stop on any Kettle Valley Rail Trail tour.
