Info · Museum / Gallery · Qualicum Beach (Vancouver Island) · $$

The Village Theatre is a designated Heritage Building in Qualicum Beach, originally built in 1949 as a movie theatre in the Streamline Moderne style and purchased by the ECHO Players Society in 1974 for conversion into a live performance venue. The volunteer-driven community theatre has over 240 members and produces five mainstage shows per season alongside the Vancouver Island Juried One-Act Play Festival, with a continuous performance history spanning more than 50 years. Cyclists touring the Oceanside area will find it a notable cultural stop, with the outdoor mural by artist David Goatley visible on the building's exterior.
