VPL: Central Library
The VPL Central Library is the flagship branch of the Vancouver Public Library system, occupying the iconic Moshe Safdie-designed elliptical building at Library Square in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The structure — loosely modelled on the Roman Colosseum — is one of the city's most recognizable architectural landmarks and a popular destination in its own right. Touring cyclists will find it centrally located on West Georgia Street, one of the main east-west cycling corridors through the downtown core.
