Double G Service
Double G Service is a landmark Alaska Highway stop at Mile 456, just south of Muncho Lake in remote northern BC, established in 1978 and run by owner-operator Jack Gunness. It offers touring cyclists a rare cluster of services in an isolated stretch of highway: a cafe renowned for homestyle breakfasts, a bakery with homemade bread and cookies, a convenience store, motel rooms, vehicle fuel, and even Canada Post service. Its longevity and breadth of services make it a well-known resupply and rest point for Alaska Highway travelers.
